A Tale of Creating Magical Woods for the Tiny tots

The Clients came to us wanting to bring the family closer to Nature and to create an environment for the younger kids to learn, explore and grow along side Nature much like they did. This site is a serene residential property at Pathazhakkad, that has two ponds connected by a canal tucked away in it. Our Challenge was to create a lush Miyawaki forest between the water bodies and the canal without harming the existing revenue generating flora on site.

In keeping with these factors we drew a plan of creating a forest embedded within another, a square Miyawaki forest with an extruded square shaped central walkway and a circular micro forest within it. Each corner of the central walkway has a seating area for the family to sit and unwind. The design of forest gives one the feeling of being lost in the Magical woods along with sound of birds and vibrant sights of Nature as the forest takes its shape.
