A Tale of Building a Sanctuary to singimpart the Native legacy

Our client, an ardent Nature Enthusiast himself, wanted to us to create a Miyawaki forest on his open land at Thevakkal for his grand kids to learn about the legacy of our Native herbs and medical flora. He wanted to pass on the ancestral knowledge to his future generation and also play a part in contributing to the local ecosystem. On exploring the site and studying the agro climatic conditions, we chose a rudimentary plan of two rectangular Miyawaki Micro forest placed next to each other separated by a walkway. These young forests are a home to a plethora of medicinal trees such as Ashokam, neermaruthu, kundirikam, Kadukka and many more, packed with numerous well being benefits.

One can only imagine the scents of these native blooms perfuming the air around. We can’t wait for the forest to shape and to see young kids exploring these mini Miyawaki biospheres.
